RULES
Matches are played according to SJL* U13 age group rules with tournament-specific specifications. (Finnish Ice-Hockey Federation).
FORMAT
Level “AAA” – Saturday 24.8.
Level ”AA” – Sunday 25.8.

COLOURS OF GAME SHIRTS
The team which is called out first is the home-team, and accordingly, the second called out team is the guest-team. The home team marked in the match schedule plays with dark jerseys and the away team plays with light jerseys. Deviation from the practice is possible by mutual agreement between the teams.
PLAYING TIME
The duration of a game is 2 x 15 minutes (clear time).
The maximum total duration of a single game is 50 minutes (including warm-up). Teams are recommended to execute needed warm-up activities before entering to the rink as each of matches are supposed to start immediately after the ice cleaning break.
There is one (1) minute break between periods.
In the ranking matches the maximum time is 60 minutes.
Time-outs are not allowed in the tournament. Deliberately delaying the game is prohibited.
GENERAL
If the team is not ready to start the game according to the tournament program, the delayed team will be deemed defeated by 5-0.
Team exchange stands are determined by the markings on the rink clock face ‘KOTI/VIERAS". The home team marked in the match on the ‘KOTI’ side of the watch face, and the away team marked on the ‘VIERAS’ side.
For the second period of the match, the teams switch the field ends.
At the end of the match, “the handshakes” are quickly performed on the blue line. After each match, an ice treatment is performed
The ranking of each team in each group will be determined by following rules:
1. Points
2. Head-to-head points
3. Head-to-head goal difference
4. Head-to-head goals for
5. Goal difference
6. Goals for
7. Penalty minutes
8. Dice
When three or more teams are tied in points, continue to determine the standings of the remaining teams starting from the first rule (considering only the matches between the tied teams).
AGE LIMITATIONS AND LINE-UPS
The tournament is for those born in 2012.
As a rule, each player is only allowed to represent one level team in the tournament. Team formations are requested from the teams before the start of the tournament. During the tournament, changes to the line-ups must be submitted at least one hour before the start of the match to the tournament office.
Goalkeepers are allowed to move between different teams more freely, however this must also be agreed in advance with the tournament office.
The tournament office is located on the observation deck of the Hakio Ice Hall.
OVER-AGES
Exceptions are possible but must be agreed upon in writing in advance with the tournament organizer. Contact Jari Suominen.
PRIZES
The top three teams in the series will receive medals.
Prizes are awarded immediately after the end of the game on the ice.
DISCIPLINE AND SPECIAL RULES OF THE SJL
In disciplinary matters, the SJL's procedures and rules are followed with the following clarifications and exceptions.
A Match penalty (25 minutes) – a player/team official who receives a Match penalty is automatically suspended for the next game as well
RESPONSIBILITIES
The representatives of the tournament do not take responsibility for any team’s lost/damaged inventory or other personal belongings.
OBJECTIONS
In the event of an objection, the fee is 200 euros. If the matter is resolved for the benefit of its author, the amount will be refunded. The objection must be made in writing no later than 15 minutes after the end of the match and must be submitted to the tournament office with the signature of the team representative/responsible person making the objection. If necessary, the jury will hear representatives of both teams as well as the referee of the match and the decision cannot be appealed.
The jury is composed of the judges and tournament officials who judged the match. Final decision-making power in the event of disagreement is vested in the tournament managers.
CHANGES
The tournament organizer has the right to change the match schedule if special reasons so require. Any changes will be notified to the participating teams without delay.
HPK U13 team players, staff members and parents are committed to the rules of the game, including civility and respect for others. We expect this from the participating teams as well as the supporters of the teams. Despite repeated shouts, insults, or similar remarks from supporters, coaches, or players, e.g. to the referees, and a remark from the Jury, the situation continues unchanged, the Jury of the tournament may sentence the team concerned to lose 5-0 of the game in question
