Every player should have their own insurance. Tournament organizer does not provide any insurance to players nor team staff.

Teams can have players born 2013 or later. So called over aged player to be agreed with tournament organizer beforehand. For example over aged players who have just started playing could be accepted.

Player amount

Games will be played 4+1 vs. 4+1. Teams that come to the tournament with several groups, should make sure they are equal strenght. So no level groups. All players must play equal time during games.

Game zone

All games will be played on half rink. There will be a 20cm high board on the red line between the games. So two games will be played at the same time. Normal benches will be used for players during games.

Game time

Each game is 24 min (World Cup) or  26 min (Olympics). Time is running, so clock will not be stopped. Tournament organizer can slightly adjust playing time, for example if we are running behind schedule.  If the team is not present at the start of the game, game will be started from 0-5 situation and remaining playing time will be the same as it is on the other game.

Chancing players and lenght of shifts

Changes will be informed by buzzer every two minutes. Game is stopped and players should not touch the puck anymore but game clock keeps running. Referee throws another puck to the neutral zone and play continues immediately. Referee collects the previous puck. So after normal line change there is no face off. To keep things fair even if player does not come to the bench but plays another shift the player still has to come and touch the board in front of the bench. All teams should inform this to their players, this is relevant if team has less than 8 players. Referee tries his/her best to throw the puck to zone where nobody gets advantage of the situation.

Puch and goals

Normal black puck will be used (so we will not used lighter blue pucks etc.). Normal/big goals will be used.

Start of the game

Game is started by normal face off in the middle at the beginning of the game and after each goal. If goalie covers the puck, referee blows the whistle and attacking team has to move back 10m and defending team will continue the game behind their net.

Five goal difference

If a team is loosing by five goals or more, they are allowed to use and extra player on the ice (=5+1 on the ice). If they score and difference is again four goals, they need to take the extra player out again. It is not mandatory to use the extra player.

Goal scorers and statistics

Game statistics will be live on Gameresultsonline.com-palveluun. Goal scorers will be marked but not the assists.

Referees

GrIFK arranges the referees for the games.

Penalties

In case of faul play, the referee stops the game and inform the relevant player about the faul. If the faul play is clearly intentional or the same player does another faul play, refereee instructs the player to go on the bench for the rest of the shift and team will play with three players. After the buzzer the team can once again have normal amount of players during the next shift.

Game system

Each team will play once against each team. So it is a round robin system without play offs.

Results

Points from the games will define the rankings in the tournament.

Possible changes

Organizer has the right to update the time schedule if special situation arise. All changes will be informed to the teams immediately.
