The tournament follows the current SJL D1 Junior Game Rules.
1. TEAM AND PLAYERS
There are 12 games in the tournament (4 teams in each series). Teams can announce an unlimited number of players with a valid SJL game passport or US Hockey players who have valid age under the rules to play in the D1 age group, however, for each game max. 18 players + 2 goalkeepers.
Teams enter the list of players in advance before the tournament starts with the gameresultsonline result service. Teams must register at the tournament office on arrival.
You may still be able to submit changes to the Player List at the time of enrollment if changes have been entered into the result service. Changes in team play are allowed during the tournament only in case of illness or injury. Moving players between level groups during a tournament is forbidden, with the exception of goalkeepers with free movement.
Teams have darker and lighter jerseys in the tournament. If the home team (first mentioned in the schedule) does not announce otherwise, the home team will have a darker outfit and the opponent team has a lighter outfit.
2. PLAYTIME
The game time is 3 x 15 min, but the total playing time is max. 70 min. Total play time is displayed on the clock in the ice rink wall. Total play time begins and ends at the time marked in the game program, unless the tournament manager indicates otherwise. Timeouts are not allowed. If the team is not ready to start at the start of the game in accordance with the tournament schedule, it will be judged to be lost 5 - 0.
3. TOURNAMENT METHOD
3.1 Block division and ranking Games
The tournament series is played in a single block (preliminary), with a simple starting set and ranking games based on the preliminary series according to the game chart.
3.2 Sequence in the series table.
The number of points collected determines the ranking in the preliminary series. Preliminary round win games get 2 points, when the game ends at drawn match, both teams get one point and no points for loss.
If team scores are drawn after preliminary games, solves the following things for team superiority:
1. The preliminary difference of the preliminary series (the difference between the goal made and the released).
2. If the difference in goals is the same, the result of the game is determined by the order mutual
3. If the game has ended in a drawn match, determines the number of goals made by the order
4. If the situation is still the same, the team that has received less penalty minutes in the preliminary series is in a better position.
5. If none of these differences, then the block ranking will be settled by lottery.
3.3 A solution for final games
If team goals are drawn after final games, continue the game in the form of a new batch which is 5 minutes long and 3vs3 (three players against three players). After that, if the game is still the same, perform a winning shot competition first with three players / team in accordance with SJL rules to determine the superiority. Even at the end of the game, the player is continued at a time until the goal difference occurs. The shooter is always a different player.
4. PERFORMANCE MONITORING
Online game tracking and protocols can be found in the gameresultsonline result service. The results will be updated directly during the games to the result service.
5. OFFICIALS
The tournament uses judges appointed by HJT in accordance with the level service
6. PLAYER MANAGEMENT
6.1 Dining
Catering for teams that have registered for the tournament will be held at the Vuosaari Ice Hall. Meals must be paid before the tournament. More food tickets can possibly be purchased from the players dining office during the day. Tickets cost € 8.50 / each meal. The Ice Rink has a different snack for sale during the tournament. Locker rooms may be provided with other snacks for players.
6.2 Sharpening
It is possible for teams to use the sharpening space on the ice rink corridor and on the playing field at the team's own sharpening machine. It is strictly forbidden to sharpen your locker rooms. There is also a paid sharpening service in the lobby of the Ice Rink.
7. DISCIPLINARY AND SPECIAL RULES OF SJL
Disciplinary matters are subject to SJL's policies and rules. In addition, the tournament follows the following SJL special tournament rules. The player can get a game penalty. A player's game penalty leads to a closure of the tournament. A team officer can get a game penalty for bad behavior.
8. AWARDS
The tournament will reward teams that ranked 1-3 in trophies and medals. Each teams will be rewarded with one player in the tournament championship prize.
9. ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES
The tournament organizer has not insured the players and is not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur to the participating players. Teams are responsible for insuring their players and agents.
10. CHANGES
The tournament organizer has the right to change the schedule if the special reasons so require. Any changes will be reported promptly to the leaders of the participating teams who will provide the information to their game teams.
11. LOCKER ROOMS
Teams throughout the tournament use the same locker rooms. The same team of different game groups, the same locker room is being organized. It is possible that the locker room has to be replaced during the tournament. Teams make sure that the locker rooms are kept clean. It is strictly forbidden to sharpen in the locker room. The team is responsible for the consequences of violating this prohibition.
