The Tournament will be played by the rules of the Finnish Ice Hockey Association with the following adjustments: 

Tournament jury does not process reports from referees. They will be send to each areas disciplinarian. 

Players and Jerseys

All players that are registered in gameresultonline.com can play. Player can play only in one team during tournament. Goalies can play in own teams games within age group. If there is only one goalie and goalie is injured or sick can team loan a goalie from another team. Goalie can play in medal games if goalie has played at least one game in round robin.  

Teams can play with so called over aged players with Head Coaches permission.

Home team plays with dark colored jerseys and the team mentioned later in the schedule (visitor) uses lighter color jerseys. 

Games and penalties

Tournament game time is 2 x 20min, max 50 min total time. There will be one min. brake between periods. 

Teams must be near benches 5 min before game time. If team is late of the game it will  be started and the team who is on time will lead 5-0. Game ends within normal playing time.  

No timeouts

No warm ups on ice, game starts immediately with starting line ups

If a player receives a game penalty (5+20 min), he is automatically banned from the next game. 

If a player receives a match penalty (25 min), he is automatically banned from the tournament.

After the game no shake hands with the opponent’s 

Tournament 

Medal games are played by ranking of round robin. Medal game time is 3 x 15 min.  

There is no total time limitation in medal games. If the game is tied there will be as shootout. 

Winner gets two (2) points, tied game both gest one (1) point and loser gets zero (0) point. 

If two or more teams are in same points after round robin the standings goes as follows: 

1. Goal difference 

2. Goals for

3. Head-to-head points 

4. Head-to-head goal difference 

5. Penalty minutes 

6. Dice

 

If more than two teams are in same points the above mentioned rule will be used only once so that the further comparison is continued from next rule.  

In Medal games if the game is tied there will be a shootout immediately. 

  • Shootout will start with three (3) shooters who are named by coach immediately after game.
  • If the game is tied after three shooters follows sudden death. One player from each team until there is a winner. Any player including those who participated in shootout can shoot one shot in secondary round until we have winner.

- Visitor team is starting the shootout.

- Only the decisive goal will be in the books. It will that players goal who made the shootout. 

Language and ruling

Language of the tournament is Finnish. Some of materials are in English. If there is inconsistency in materials the verdicts are done by Finnish material.  

Referees and officials must also communicate in English

Protests

All protests are handled by the Tournament Jury. Jury consists of the tournament director and two tournament officials. The decision of the jury is final. The fee for a protest is 200 euros, which will be returned should the protest be accepted. The protest should be in writing, signed by the manager of the team and made no later than 10 minutes after the game has ended. 

 

Trophies

Best team will get the cup. Winning team will get the cup right after final game on ice. 

Every team has to name one MVP-player before last game. Player will get MVP-trophy after last game.. 

 

Insurance

All players and team staff must have valid adequate insurance. Tournament is not responsible for any injuries that may occur to players or staff of any team.  

Right to amendments

Tournament office has the right to amend schedules and rules.
