3. TOURNAMENT FORMAT

3.1 Group divisions and placement matches
The tournament series is played in one preliminary group, with a single round-robin and placement matches based on the preliminary group standings according to the match schedule.

3.2 Order in the standings
In the preliminary group, the ranking of teams is determined by the number of points collected. A win in the preliminary group games earns 2 points, a draw earns 1 point, and a loss earns 0 points. If teams have equal points in the preliminary group after the matches, the ranking of the tied teams is determined by:

  1. The goal difference for the entire preliminary group (the difference between goals scored and goals conceded).

  2. If the goal difference is the same, the result of the head-to-head match determines the ranking.

  3. If the head-to-head match ended in a draw, the number of goals scored determines the ranking.

  4. If the situation is still tied, the team with fewer penalty minutes in the preliminary group is ranked higher.

  5. If none of these criteria resolve the tie, the group ranking is determined by a draw.

3.3 Resolution of placement matches
If a placement match ends in a draw, a shootout is conducted to determine the winner, first with three players per team according to SJL rules. If this also ends in a draw, the shootout continues one player at a time until a goal difference is achieved. The shooter is always a different player.

4. RESULTS TRACKING

Online results tracking and match reports can be found in the gameresultsonline results service. Results are updated directly to the results service during the matches.

5. REFEREES

The tournament uses referees appointed by HJT according to the level service.

6. DISCIPLINE AND SPECIAL SJL RULES

Disciplinary matters follow SJL procedures and rules. The tournament also follows the following special SJL tournament rules. A player can receive a match penalty. A match penalty leads to exclusion from the tournament. A team official can receive a match penalty for poor behavior.

7. AWARDS

8. ACCIDENTS
