Turnauksessa on paikalla henkilöitä, jotka osaavat antaa ensiapua. Pelitilanneloukkaantumiset hoidetaan ensisijaisesti huollon ja tarvittaessa ensiapuvastaavan avulla. Ensiapuvastaava liikkuu vuoronsa aikana ympäri hallia ja hänet tunnistaa keltaisesta huomioliivistä, jossa lukee selässä EA. Toimitsijoilla ja turnaustoimistossa on ensiapuvastaavan puhelinnumero.
