KIEKKO-VANTAA U8 PÄÄSIÄISTURNAUS 2027

Kiekko-Vantaa's traditional U8 Easter tournament is back!

Venue:

Tikkurilan Areena and the adjacent practice rink, Läntinen Valkoisenlähteentie 52–54, 01300 Vantaa, Finland.

Teams and playing groups:

The tournament is for U8 teams, i.e. children born in 2019 or later. A maximum of 24 playing groups can take part, three of which are Kiekko-Vantaa's own. This leaves 21 places for other clubs.
If a club enters more than one playing group, the groups should be evenly matched. Each playing group must be registered separately.
The organiser reserves the right to change the number of playing groups accepted and the tournament format.

Tournament format:

Playing groups will be divided into preliminary groups based on the number of entries. Results in the preliminary groups determine the standings and the matchups for the following games. Each playing group will play a total of six games during the tournament.
Games start at around 9:00 and end at 18:00. The detailed schedule will be published well before the tournament.

Games:

The tournament is played under Leijonaliiga rules, 3+1 vs. 3+1 (three skaters plus a goalie) on a rink divided into three. Each game lasts 24 minutes.

Tournament fee:

€360 per playing group.

A deposit of €100 per playing group is due within two weeks of registration, and the balance must be paid by 1 March 2027. The full fee can also be paid at once together with the deposit. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable if a team withdraws from the tournament. The fee does not include meals.

Full refund in the following cases:

If the organiser has to reschedule the tournament and the new date does not suit a registered team, the team may withdraw and all fees paid (deposit and balance) will be refunded in full.
Fees will also be refunded if the tournament cannot be held at all.

Meals:

Paid tournament meals will be available for players and team staff. Details will be confirmed well before the tournament.

Awards:

All players receive a participation medal, and the best team is awarded a trophy.

Registration and information:

Registration takes place on Gameresultsonline.com. The site is also the tournament's main information channel, and all tournament information will be collected there.

Insurance:

Every player must have valid insurance. Kiekko-Vantaa, as the organiser, does not insure participating players.

Side events:

Admission is free and supporters are warmly welcome! Between games you can enjoy treats at the tournament café and try your luck in the raffle.
