Tournament rules

Tournament will be played by the rules of Finnish Ice Hockey Federation (SJL) U13 rules with following exeptions:

Teams and jerseys

Total amount of participants in tournament:

AAA: 8 teams

AA: 8 teams

A: 8 teams

Teams will have two jerseys, dark and light. Home team will play with dark jerseys, unless agreed otherwise beforehand. Every team will play 5 games in tournament.

Team has to check in for registration at the tournament office when arriving to first game. There you will have all the neccesary information for the weekend and the team will be escorted to their locker room.

Game time and penalties

 Game time is 2x15min or max. 45 minutes total time. Playoff rounds 2x15min or max. 50 minutes total time . Half time is 1 minute. Time out will be allowed only in playoff rounds.

Teams have to be ready for the game 5 minutes before scheduled game time. Game starts right after ice is clean and nets are on their place. After the game both teams stays on the blueline for palyer of the game award. After the nomination, teams shake hands and leave the ice quickly.

In tournament there will be 1 minutes, 5 minutes and 10 minutes penalties. In case of match penalty, tournament jury will decide if the player is allowed to continue the tournament or not.

Points

For the win two (2) points, tie game one (1) point and for the lose zero (0) points. Game schedules and stats can be found at the tournament gameresults page.

AAA, AA and A:

Every level has two (2) four (4) teams groups. Group stage will include three (3) games for every team. 

Group stage standings first and second teams from the group will play for places 1-4. Third and fourth of the groups will play for places 5-8.

First playoff round will be played against team from another group (A1 vs. B2 etc.). 

Every team will have two (2) playoff round games.

Group stage standings will be placed accordingly:

1. total points
2. head to head points
3. head to head goal difference
4. head to head scored goals
5. total goal difference
6. total goals scored
7. penalties
8. lottery

Penalty shootout

Playoff rounds, in case game is tied in the end, there will be penalty shootout. 

Both teams have three shots. Players have to be named immediatly after the time is up.

In case score is still tie after three players, shots will be taken one by one. Same player can not take another penaltyshot before all the players have had their turn.

Team captains will have lottery for witch team begins the shootout.

Only the game winning shot will be added to the final result.

Tournament prices

Three best teams of all levels will have medals and trophy. Every team will also nominate one player as the player of the tournament. Team coach has to inform the player of the tourmanet at the tournament office before the last game. 

Every level will also have the CCM allstars lineup (1+5). Allstars players will be decided by tournament jury and some coaches of the different teams in the tournament. Players will be informed and awarded before last playoff round games of each level.

Jury and disagreements

Disagreements will be handeled by the jury. Decision of the jury will be final. Disagreements must be delivered latest 10 minutes after the game. Fee of the disagreement will be 200€ and will be returned only if jury accepts the disagreement. Jury includes Directors of the tournament and two nominated members. If needed, jury will hear the referee of the game. Disagreement will be accepted only if all the members of jury agree. Jury won't have to explane their decision.
