Tournament rules

 

Tournament teams

5 teams will participate in the tournament.

 

Tournament players

Players born in 2006 or later. The so-called Y-players must be agreed separately with the tournament organizer.
Girls are allowed to be two years older. There is no limit to the number of players. Teams can enter an unlimited
number of licensed players for the tournament, taking into account the level that will fit the team due to their age,
however, for each match max. 20 + 2 players.

 

The actual rules

The tournament will comply with Finnish Ice Hockey Federation's competition and junior rules, with the exceptions set
out in these rules.
The tournament jury will not process the referee reports but will be referred to the area disciplinary officer of that team.

 

Tournament format

The tournament is played as a simple series, with each team playing against each other once. In a series,
you get two (2) points for a win, one (1) point for a draw and zero (0) points for a loss.
In the series, the ranking of the teams is determined by the points achieved.

Ranking of teams in groups will be determined by following rules:

1) Points

2) Head-to-head points

3) Head-to-head goal difference

4) Goal difference

5) Goals for

6) Penalties

7) Dice

Match time

In the tournament, the playing time of the matches is 3 x 20 minutes, the total playing time is 120 minutes.

Intermission: 12 minutes. 

Overtime may not be used.

Teams must be on the equipment in the vicinity of the pitch five (5) minutes prior to the scheduled time of the match ready to begin the match. If a team does not arrive on the field on schedule, it will be judged losing 5-0.

 

Player list and jerseys

The first team marked in the match program is the home team and will play with darker jerseys
and the away team with lighter ones, unless the teams agree otherwise.
The final player list must be notified to the stewards 30 minutes before the team match.

 

Awards

The top three teams will be awarded medals and the tournament winning team will be awarded a trophy.

 

Insurance and first aid

Each player and officer must have a valid insurance. The organizers of the tournament are not responsible for any accidents of the participating teams. First aid staff have been arranged for the ice rink.

 

Judiciary

In the games, the referees of the Oulu Hockey Referee Association will judge.

 

Game / match penalties

The penalties follow competition rules. Any match penalties that may result from large penalties will result in the player's tournament games ending.

 

Schedule changes

The tournament organizer has the right to change the schedule, duration and ice running of the matches if necessary.

 

Handling of objections

The Jury of the tournament consists of the Tournament Manager and the Referee who judged the match.

The final decision in case of disagreement rests with the Tournament Manager. Objections must be submitted in writing within

15 minutes of the end of the game. The opposition fee is EUR 100, which will be refunded if the opposition is found to be justified.
