Tournament Rules
1. The Tournament shall be governed by the SJL Southern Area Junior E2 Rules with the following exceptions:

When the match is tied after the official match time, the game is settled by a penalty shot competition. The coaches name three shooters immediately after the end of the match, and if the game is still tied after the shots, one shot at a time will continue on a sudden death basis. However, the same shooter can only be reused after all field players on the team have shot. The away team starts the winning goal competition.
The referee chooses the side of field where the penalty shots will be taken.
4. The duration of the matches is 2x15 minutes of official playing time. However, the total time is 50 minutes. There is a 1 minute break between the periods.
5. The use of a time out is not allowed.
6. There is no limit to the number of players allowed on the team, but it must be announced at least one (1) week prior to the start of the tournament. Changes to final team line-ups must be notified to the tournament office 30 minutes before the start of the match.
The tournament is open only to players who are registered to the team. A field player can only play in one team participating in a tournament. Goalkeepers are not subject to the rule.
7. The Result Service is maintained electronically at www.gameresultsonline.com.
8. The home team plays the match in a dark jersey and the away team plays in a light jersey. Teams may agree on a match-by-match arrangement.
9. The team must be ready to start the match 5 minutes before the match time. A team that is not on time to start the match will be condemned to lose the match 5-0.
10. The referees of the tournament will be the official referees and junior referees of the Helsinki Ice Hockey association (HJT Ry).
11. The Tournament Organizer is not responsible for any injury or accident to players or officials. All players and officials participating in the tournament must be insured in accordance with SJL rules. The tournament organizer will provide persons capable of first-aid at the tournament.
The tournament organizer is not responsible for any theft that may occur during the tournament.
12. Only the team director can make a protest. A Protest must be made orally to the game referee and opponent immediately after the end of the match and in writing to the tournament office within 10 minutes of the end of the match. The protest fee is 200 euros, which will be refunded if the protest is approved. The protest will be handled by a three-person jury of the tournament, consisting of the head of tournament organization and two other people. The Jury is not obligated to justify the decision, nor can the decision be appealed.
13. A game misconduct penalty and/or a match penalty for a staff member’s behavior will automatically result in disqualification from the tournament.
A player's game misconduct penalty will automatically result in a ban for one match, and a match penalty will lead to the player's disqualification from the rest of the tournament. Major penalties (PRK / OR) always lead to standard disciplinary action by the Hockey League Disciplinary Committee.
14. The top three teams in the tournament will be awarded trophies and all players will receive participation medals. In addition, each team is rewarded with a "tournament team player” selected by their own team management team, at the latest, in the latter half of the last match.
15. The organizer of the tournament has the right to change the timetable, the game organization and the game schedule of the event for exceptionally weighted reasons. Changes will be notified immediately to the participating teams.
16. Tournament organizers urge everyone to encourage fair play. We ask players, staff, agents, parents and spectators to respect and encourage everyone.
