PuuhaPark HaKi Cup 2020
The Tournament will be played by the rules of the Finnish Ice Hockey Association with the following adjustments:
Game sheets and player lists
Game sheets are printed according to the player lists given by the teams. Any changes must be made in the tournament office 60 minutes before the start of the first game. Player lists are to be signed in the tournament office 60 minutes before the first games. The starting line-up does not need to be named before the game.

A player can represent only one team during the tournament except for the goalies. Goalies are able to switch between AAA / AA / A – level teams during the tournament.
Team Jerseys
Home team (mentioned first in the schedule) plays with dark coloured jerseys and the visitor team (mentioned later in the schedule) uses lighter coloured jerseys.
Practices before and after the game
No warm up on the ice before the game. The game starts immediately with starting line ups. Captains and teams do not shake hands. Captains exchanges banners or streamers etc. The teams do not have to name the starting line-up. After the game all players form a line on their own blue line, shake hands with the opponent with hockey gloves on their hands.
Playing time and timeout
Teams must be ready in their boxes 5 minutes before the game starts. If the team is not ready when the game is scheduled to start, they will lose the game 5-0.
Playing time is 2x15 minutes but max 40 minutes total from the scheduled match starting time, whichever comes first. An official will inform both teams 2 minutes before the total time (40 minutes) ends.
No timeouts allowed.
Penalties
Rules of the Finnish Ice Hockey Association apply with the following adjustments.
A normal small penalty is 1 minutes effective playing time.
A ten-minute misconduct penalty is carried out normally in the penalty box. If a player gets two ten-minute penalties during one game or player gets big penalty (5+20 min or 20 min with unsportsmanlike conduct) he is automatically banned from the next game.
If a player receives a match penalty (25 min), he is automatically banned from the tournament.
Tournament system, rank order and points system
The winning team receives two (2) points, in the case of a draw both teams get one (1) point and the losing team gets zero (0) points.
In the group stage the rank order is judged as follows:
In the AAA serie teams are divided into 2 groups each with 5 teams. Each team plays once against the other teams within the group. After that team ranked 1st and 2n in the groups will proceed to playoffs for positions 1-4 of the tournament and will play 6 games in tournament. Teams ranked 3-5 position will play one game for positions 5-10 and will play 5 games in the tournament.
In the AA serie teams are divided into 4 groups each with 4 teams. Each team plays once against the other teams within the group. After preliminary round teams ranked 1st in their groups will proceed to playoffs for positions 1-4 of the tournament. Teams ranked 2-4 will play two games for the positions 5-16. All teams will play 5 games in the tournament.
In the A serie teams are divided into 3 groups each with 4 teams. Each team plays once against the other teams within the group. After preliminary round teams ranked 1st in their groups will proceed to playoff-group for positions 1-3 of the tournament. Teams ranked 2-4 will play two games for the positions 5-12. All teams will play 5 games in the tournament.
Penalty shots
If a playoff game ends at a draw, there will be a penalty shoot out with 3 players from both teams. These 3 players don’t need to be named beforehand. Any players that have their name in the teams player list can participate to the shoot out. The starting team is decided by throwing a coin. Teams take turns in shooting and keep shooting until the decisive goal is shot. The possible remaining shots are not made. If there will be a draw after the 3 shots, the shootout will continue in the reverse order of shots with the rule of the “golden goal”, meaning that the game is over when one team scores and the other one doesn’t in the same pair of shots. The same player cannot shoot twice in the same shoot out until all players in the team have shot once.
Protests
The tournament jury will handle all protests. The jury consists of the tournament director, other tournament officials, a referee of the game, and the managers of both teams involved. The decision of the jury is final. The fee for a protest is 100 euros, which will be returned if the protest is accepted.
The protest should be writed and signed by the manager of the team and made no later than 20 minutes after the game has ended.
Tournament medals and trophies
The best 3 teams on each level receives a trophy and players receives a medal. Award ceremonies are held immediately after the final game on the ice.
”Player of the tournament” from each team will be awarded a trophy after the last game of the team. Receiver will be selected by coach(es) of own team and informed to officials 5 min before end of the game.
Right to amendments
Tournament office has the right to amend schedules if they so desire.
Photographing
Photographs will be taken on behalf of the tournament organizers. These images can be published in the tournament's Facebook page, as well as other media articles about the tournament. If some team wants to prohibit the use of their players images in publications, this must be informed to the tournament office.
Insurance
All players and team staff must have valid and adequate insurance. The arranger of the tournament is not responsible for any injuries that may occur to the players or staff of any team.
