Tournament rules and other things to consider
In the tournament, the competition rules of the Ice Hockey League and the tournament rules defined separately for the tournament are followed. The games are played according to the SJL competition rules, taking into account the special rules for the U13 age group.
Tournament format
The tournament is played as an AA level series
Match time (Preliminary Series & Final)
The duration of the match is 2x20 minutes (effective playing time, with the maximum total playing time of the match being 60 min) starting from the starting time of the match indicated in the program. The length of the set break is 1 min. If the schedule of the tournament is delayed for some reason, the total playing time can be shortened, however to a minimum of 50 minutes.
The team must be ready in 5 min. before the start of the match, the match starts immediately after the ice is clean and the goals are set up.
Overtime is allowed.
Win 3 points
Tie 1 point
In the final, it is decided by a shootout contest in a tie. The game for the winning goal is started by the visiting team indicated in the match schedule. First, three shooters from each team are named for the winning goal race.
If the result after three pairs of players is equal, we continue with the "once over" principle, one pair at a time. The same shot can only be used again when all field players of the team have shot.
Game jerseys
Teams must have two different colored uniforms. In the match schedule, the team marked as the home team wears a dark jersey and the team marked as the away team wears a light jersey.
Determination of initial series rankings
The placement of the teams in the group is determined as follows:
1. Points
2. Head-to-head points
3. Goal difference
4. Goals
5. Head-to-head goal difference
6. Head-to-head goals
7. Penalty minutes of the group (the team with fewer penalties ranks better)
8. Dice
The draw is carried out by the tournament manager in the presence of representatives of both teams.
When the rule settles the rankings for three or more tied teams only partially (some still tied), continue to settle the remaining teams' rankings from the first rule of the series (taking into account only the matches of the teams still tied).
Jury of the tournament
The tournament jury is made up of the tournament manager and the head judge who judged the match.
Objections are presented by the team's team leader and must be presented orally to the referee and the opponent immediately after the end of the match and in writing no later than 10 minutes after the end of the match. The jury will consider the objection. The jury does not justify its decision, and it cannot be appealed.
The objection fee is 200e, which is paid in cash. The amount will be returned to the protesting team if the jury accepts the protest.
Discipline
The competition rules of SJL are followed in the punishments. The tournament jury does not process referee reports, but they are directed to the area disciplinarian for processing.
Accidents and player insurance
The organizers have not insured the players and are not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may happen to the players. All players and officials participating in the tournament must be insured in accordance with the rules of the SJL. The organizer is not responsible for possible cases of theft during the tournament.
First aid
There is a first aid station at the tournament.
Respect the game
The players, officials and parents of the team organizing the tournament are committed to the rules of fair play, which include polite behavior and respect for others. We also require this from the teams participating in the tournament, both players, officials and supporters.
For yelling, insulting or similar behavior directed at e.g. referees or opponents by players, supporters, coaches and officials, the tournament referee can sentence the aforementioned team to a 5-0 loss for the game in question.
